Moody Monday

I'm again on a bit of a downer. :(

Things were going well. Started my CIT course, had a line on a permanent part time job, starting to get some of the 'leave for ages' jobs done around the house but now I'm not sure I'll be able to keep on.

For the past 12 months or so (up until mid December or so), I have been getting weekly massages as a way of keeping my back painfree and loose. Had to stop in December due to MCRS being behind in their approvals for on going treatment. I was already starting to feel the difference, having more pain than usual, needing to take more pain killers etc. Then on Friday I get a letter saying that MCRS, in their wisdom, are not approving any more massages because it didn't achieve any improvement to functional goals.

Well, I did some cardio work today the way I have been fairly regularly for about 6 months and had to take pain killers within 30mins of finishing and was seriously considering not going to class, tonight. (2 x Panadol, 2 x Tramel 50mg). Home from class and will take more before bed. (750mg SR Naprysin(sp), 100mg SR Tramel)

So it begins, with winter coming up and my classes at night, I can only see it getting worse because cold, for me, is like rain to the Tinman, in the Wizard of Oz. I don't know if I should make a committment to a job and then, maybe, have to mess everyone around. I don't want to drop my course, I have paid over $500 so far for this semester.

If MCRS had bothered to look at my chemists account, they would see the drop in medication, I have been taking, since starting the massages. But my account, which they are meant to pay, is almost $700 and my monthly total is only about $100-150.

OK vent over, I have the option to appeal and I will. Nothing else I can do for now.

On a brighter note, I got 3 out of 4 items in to be judged for the Canberra Show this weekend.

This is what didn't make it.

It is a birdhouse moneybox. The chart and instructions are in a book called 3D Cross Stitch by Meg Ever? I can't remember the rest of her name. She owns The Nutmeg Company that specialises in 3D cross stitch. It still needs the base and hatch made and attached.

Tomorrow, I want to work on the teddybear wall hanging. It is all hand stitching so I'll listen to a book as I do it. Plan on stitching on the quilt square for Melissa's (123 Stitch MB)parents quilt and I'd like to do some research on some of the things I have been learning, in class. I still haven't played with my new machine but that will have to wait a little while longer.

I'll add some more to the list tomorrow, I'm sure.

It's so stupid that insurance companies don't look more at other therapies ... Chemicals are not always the answer ... HOpe you'll win your appeal. Do you need a letter from your doctor?
